Tapio:
I noticed that lot of Attackpointers are going to Swiss O Week this year. I'm a bit late with my travel arrangements and would like to know if anyone cares to share lodging or have recommendations where to stay.

I'm arriving to Zermatt by train Saturday (7/15) morning.

Late registration also seems like a challenge...

Yeah, I'd looked into registering for the week and they were pretty adamant about no late competitive registrations. I begged. It didn't get me anywhere. And then I figured that I couldn't really manage the trip anyway, so I stopped begging, and they probably breathed a sigh of relief that I've left them alone.

Cristina, if you want, you can run for me on 4th and 5th day and maybe even the 3rd if I decide not to do that day. The races are too close to WOC for me to want to do all of them, but I signed up for the whole week.
Yeah, they haven't been very open for late registration, Ross also couldn't sign up. Bummer.

As a Swiss, I feel a bit bad that the organizers are so strict with late entries. Not even chaning classes is possible anymore...

What I can offer; our club has booked a large part of the youthhostel in Zermatt and there is still one bed in a 4-bed room left, so if anyone is interested, shoot me an email.

The best chance to get a starting place is to find someone who can't/won't participate.
The best "place" to do so is the discussion forum of the Swiss Orienteering Federation:
http://www.solv.ch/cgi-bin/forum
Just press the hyperlink "Diskussionsbeitrag" on the top left corner and write down your inquiry. I think there is pretty good chance to get starting places (maybe you can't participate with your own name, but at least you can run!!).
Hope to see lots of Attackpoint-Geeks!!!

Could you also look for an opening in H45 category. Thanks!
I already have my airline tickets, but now they don't let me register... Even if I contacted them more than a month before the start of the event...
