I'd like to upgrade from sweats to o-pants. What can you guys recommend. A major concern is keeping cool as even in the winter it can be fairly warm in TX. I've seen some guys wearing the Silva pants and liked those, but I can't find a place to order them. Thanks.

I would think that Treklite Thorn Knickers would be an obvious choice for Texas vegetation. They are a bit warmer due to the extra layer on the front of the legs, but they certainly offer better protection.

Yea, the Thorn Knicks are popular. But I'm willing to trade a few scratches and, most likely, sooner replacement for cooler pants. I get too darn hot. Compass Point (on the "Links" page) has some Silva stuff that I think I will get.
