Hi - It looks like I might be in London for work in early October and have the weekend of Oct 17th-18th to play. Anything fun going on (I'm horribly out of shape at the moment, but starting to get more active again as the knee heals)? What should I see in London? Anywhere good to rent bikes and go on a long ride? Any chance I could convince you to come and hang out in London :) Or somewhere nearby that I should go play?
Oh man, I have no idea! There doesn't look to be anything O related fun that weekend, but there might be something more adventure-racey - I can ask Brooner. I am totally skint as I'm not getting paid any more, so I won't be able to afford the train fare down. I can't say I've visited that much in London, I kind of like just walking around and doing silly things like trying to navigate the city with only an underground map. I liked the zoo, but that's not really very London specific!
That's really not very helpful is it? Hmmm...
Actually, there is as score event south of the river on the Saturday - might be fun and definitely not too strenuous! I think it's mainly aimed at Beginners...

the cheesy tourist thing of an open-top bus tour always works well in london, and you can usually hop on and off if you fancy seeing something a bit closer!
