doesn't it piss you off. I love to shout at owners, when rarely present, that I intend to contact the pound. Does anything rival the 'rose coloured glasses' mentality of dog owners? - they walk beside their dog, leash in hand, not attached to the bloody animal, and as you approach they gently say "he/she won't hurt you mate". Bullshit - been bitten by three dogs in past two years after hearing that very line. If they will not restrain their dog, shoot on site I say! And the dog as well!!

Completely agree. I can't run past dogs anymore, one time I was bitten by a German sheparrd the owners said the same thing. Hope you are alright, is it on a normal loop? Hope you don't see it again. Maybe the dog had just been chased by maggies and was annoyed?

I'm ok, big bruise and lump has come up over night. It is along one of my fav runs, there's usually one dog there (which is well behaved), but this weekend there was another, and the guy living there was going on about how it wasn't his, he was only looking after it, but that doesn't mean you can let it run around off the leash!!
