I learnt something tonight :) (hospital pharmacists don't normally need to know this stuff).

So, no US-style in-supermarket pharmacies with large billboards outside advertising 'free antibiotics'? Thought not.

(I think you still need a prescription for said antibiotics, but I am less sure than I would like to be...)

Maybe these pharmacies predate the national rules (which are extensive). I'm pretty sure each state had its own regulations originally.

You can get antibiotics over the counter at certain pharmacies in Peru. And they even work!
