Another great day of orienteering by SLOC, with very nice courses by Eric Buckley at S-F at the edge of the Ozarks. It was really quite fun orienteering. The results were a little topsy-turvy with a finish list that would have been tough to predict.
And the weather was perfecto!

Orienteering was not easy. Fast, but easy to make mistakes and then hard to recover.
Map from today's blue course. Very nice orienteering! I'm feeling a bit better today and it was so enjoyable to cruise around the course at a slower pace and just have fun.
Probably no official results online tonight, but here are the OCAD gif exports of the Blue and Red maps:

By the way, I have to publicly thank Eric Weyman for his help in course consulting. He challenged me at every step, but still allowed me to find the improvements and maintain ownership of the design. A real pleasure to work with.

Official results have found their way (via 24K modem) to SLOC's site:

Very nice writing on those local news, unlike most of the pajama-geek-and-compass pieces seen lately.
