Was keeping my eyes open for them but didn't see them (which isn't surprising if they were in Scotland). Where exactly is their place?

I'd imagine there would be some very nice runs in that region (although possibly pretty steep depending on exactly where you were).

5km southwest of Dorrigo.

If the walking track that was closed is the standard loop from the visitor centre for the national park just east of Dorrigo, that's a pity, but it's more notable for the rainforest than the views, so staying on the escarpment has something to recommend it too.

50km west of Tenterfield must be close to Emmaville where Robert J Preston grew up.

f you ever go near there you should check out the ironbark nature reserve 20km sw from bundarra which is 70 nw of armidale - looks awesome on google earth

There must be good stuff scattered through that region; remember the area SE of Inverell that we ran on during the 1993 trip?

As for the property, it was 24k from Torrington and 54 from Tenterfield, which I think puts it north of Torrington, which is 20k NE of Emmaville.
