I know nothing about writing mobile phones apps. What would it take to get an app for Attackpoint? Would it be very costly, in terms of time or money? Could interested readers make donations towards this specific project?

What exactly do you want it to do? That's more than what I am doing right now ony Touch? I suppose being able to do this off line would be nice.

Little daemons that do our training for us, and maybe race and enter our results? :)

Maybe it's more useful to ask for a mobile version of the website, instead of an app? I love how other sites have been redesigned specifically for reading on a mobile device. It would be nice if AP was easier to navigate and read. For instance, I hate having to adjust column widths every time I move from page to page.

Yeah, I was going to suggest that might be what you really want. it is on my list.

AP as it is works just fine with all my phones, no need to adjust column widths or anything. Pretty easy to read and navigate even without touch screen. More web focused phones like iPhone should work much better than my Nokias, so Difficult to imagine there is so much need for mobile version of the site.

Nice--I think it probably works well with many advanced phones. I'm not convinced my BB Curve counts!

Hey Folks.
I do think a mobile version of the site would be awesome. Mainly just being able to log training straight after you've done it, without having to restrain yourself until you're near a computer :)

Column width adjustment - two quick taps in the center of the desired section of a column zooms it out to full width. And vice versa.

I find it a bit fiddly on my iphone, so I tend to wait until I'm home / at work to update training

I think the opera web browser (the one in the video) automatically restricts the maximum text width within each comment (on any webpage actually) to the width of the screen.

i just go on the net, but instead of going into the crappy phone version, i just types the exact adress. Its the same as on a computer but on a small screen and yoou just have to move around

I only use this on my iphone and works just fine. Of course I can not speak for other phones but this is one of the fastest loading sites on my iphone that I have come across. I would not buy the app, no need.

I don't think Attackpoint discussions ever close.

Does that mean I can keep talking about logos over on the longest-thread-of-all-time?

It looks like the thread that has been dormant the longest was probably the first thread ever, entitled "How was harriman?", in which ken asked that question and the initial replies were "don't know, I didn't go". That was about 11 years ago.
