Discussion: Desert Rain

In summer 2000 I drove from Melbourne to Perth with my Londoner cousin - and we didn't see a live kangaroo until Albany of all places! There'd been massive January (!) rains not long beforehand and the whole Nullabor was lush with grass - no need for the roos to graze on the roadside! Seems weird to have my personal mental screensaver of the Nullabor containing pools of water in the roadside ditches!
