If you ran M21 or F21 at Telemark, go over to runoway and draw your route:

1) select event ->ok (wait a few sec)
2) select map ->ok (wait a few more sec)
3) options: draw route choice
4) classes: M21+
5) runners: select your name
6) draw your route by either holding the mouse button down or by clicking every dozen meter or so.

All courses/classes have now been entered ...

Some instructions (copied from a message to USOF Clubnet) ...

The US Champs maps, courses and results have been loaded into RunOway ... http://www.alternativet.nu/runoway

RunOway is a sophisticated route analysis tool that allows you to:
* draw your route online
* compare your route with your fellow competitors
* compare your progress around the course

How does it work ...

1) Point your browser to http://www.alternativet.nu/runoway
2) Click "starta runoway"
3) Select language
4) Select event (US Champs Day 1 or US Champs Day 2)
5) Select map (Telemark East or Telemark West)
Once the map and results have been downloaded to your computer, you are set
to use RunOway.

The various options are:

* See results ... this allows you to see how you and your competitors have navigated the course. Click on the class and then click on a runner's name to see where he/she has gone (a check mark denotes a competitor whose route has been entered). You can click on multiple runners to compare route choices. You can sort the results by total time (default) or by leg by clicking on the control symbol icons in the upper left corner.

* Draw route choice ... this allows you to draw your own route (for the world to see). Select your class, select your name. Click the start or a control point to start drawing a leg. Drag the mouse or use a series of clicks to draw your route for the leg. Click the next control point to finish drawing the leg. If you don't like your route for a leg, click the trash can next to the leg. Important: When you have drawn your complete
course, click the blue icon near the upper left corner (this is apparently a "diskette" icon) to SAVE it.

* Replay ... this allows you to simulate the running of the event. If you select "Simulate mass start", "Show route choice", select runners of interest, then hit the play button, you get a replay of the race as if the
runners have mass-started ... very cool!

M21 and F21 were loaded a few days ago, so some of their routes are already available for viewing. But, all the classes are now in the system, so get to it!

re: "...so get to it!"

Ahh, man... do we have to put the bad route choices in as well? And my Day-1-C1 is just going to look like a child's scribble drawing on the map. Oh well, I guess full disclosure is healthy and part of growing.

If anyone cares, compare Will Hawkins' and my route choices to 11 on day one. We both inadvertently ran through day 2's #3 while making stupid mistakes....Looks pretty funny.

Even if the most tempting replay mode is 'simulate mass start' I find it fascinating to look at the staggered also. Even if the running speed is just an average for each split, it matches up pretty well. In the 2nd day Telemark race you can clearly see me running into William twice - once on may way to #7 and once on my way to #8.
