...to hear your news about being fired. That does totally suck. You definitely need to go to EMPO and orienteer away any woes. (Just don't create any new ones out on the course!)
Getting fired doesn't always suck. And I just said I kind of got fired. Since I'm self-employed anyway, it's a relative concept. It's just that after someone else in the office got off the phone with a client today, I was told, "Stop. It's over. Don't work on that any more". And I said, "Oooookay, um, what should I do instead?" And since there wasn't really anything for me to do, I went home.
I figured this would be anti-climax. Anyway, I'll be happy to see you this weekend, fired or not.
Since I know that J-J is a self-directed floating unit in the labor market, his firing didn't concern me much. I fire myself on a particular beautiful afternoon for a few hours, so that I can go in the woods. At 8 or 9 PM I rehire myself. So are the particularities of the self-employed labor market. There might be less financial benefits, but some time benefits are built in. Like writing on AP at 9:34:12 AM in the morning.
