Going to the doctor to get your hemoglobin and ferritin levels checked sounds like it might be a good idea. You feeling tired too? Just looking at your log I would say you need to insert some rest days. You have have had several days of intensity followed by a long 2 hr run. Training effect happens when you stress the body/load and then REST/allow recovery. So it is good for you to take a day off or have an easy day;-)

Have you been keeping track of your resting HR? My training has made me start doing that so i can track if i have been over training. If your over training it keeps going up. Greg has found the same thing out and has taken a few rest days and seems to be feeling better for it. I hope you feel better soon!

yeah i'll get around to that eventually... i'm off competing and training down south for the next 10 days though, so it'll have to be after that. and no i haven't been keeping track of my resting heartrate, though maybe i'll give it a try. and don't worry, tomorrow and friday will be easy days i think. :) thanks for the advice!!

So you're going to spend the time between West Point and CSU training? Harriman, I presume? And here I thought the training you and others in Ottawa had been doing the last couple of weeks was awesome.

BTW, run well at West Point. Leaving aside running well being a good idea generally, since you're registered in M-21+ I'll have enough races to place you in the Canadian men's ranking list by month's end.
