What marathon is she doing?

St. Louis. We lived there for almost 6 years a while back - so we decided to take the kids and turn it into a vacation.

She has done real well on her training plan and should be ready. About the only thing that might throw her a loop is an 80 degree, high humidity day. (which is not unheard of in April in St. Louis)

Interesting -- I have Missouri roots myself (although I never lived there). Both of my parents grew up in Fulton, roughly the center of the state. I've done many trips there to see relatives over the years.

What kind of pace is Kameron shooting to run?

Certainly a warm, muggy day is possible there (as it is here -- as our A-meet last year was evidence of). But not too likely, so hopefully that won't happen. And if it does, I imagine just about everyone in the race will be equally non-acclimated to the heat.

10:30 was her original goal, but I think she will try to drive that down a bit. The weather could be a wildcard - but it is early in the spring and the race starts at 7:00. It is relatively flat as well.

One of the reasons that made it easier for us to leave St. Louis was our distaste for the weather there. There were more nice days in the spring and fall, but the dog days of summer canceled out any advantages.
