COngrats to Sandy on a good run in the sprint final! Pam and Pippa just narrowly missed the final. Looking forward to seeing Nick and Brian do well in the men's final.

How old is Hakan Eriksson and where has that guy been? Why the comeback? Also, I'm a bit surprised to see Ropek not make it through to the final. Congrats to Brian in making onto the running commetary early in the race.

Brian finished 41st, a fine showing and the best US result in several years* (*: for races for which there were qualifiers). Nick was 40th and Sandy, 30th—go Canada!

Oh, and re: Håkan Eriksson: your all better start training, and maybe in about 15 years, be just as good...

In 15 years he'll be 58, the rest of us should have a better chance against him.

I'm sure when Hakan is 58, he'll still be kicking my butt, just like PG still sometimes can.
Anyway, awesome job Brian, Nic, and Sandy!! Way to go!

I'll add my congrats. And Brian, you looked very cool on the internet, with lots of air time -- getting ready to start, then taking off until you were out of sight, then all the way from the spectator warning control through the sp. control and out of sight, and then in to the finish. And announced a couple of times as being in 3rd place (at least for a little while...). Bravo!
And Sandra (mono and all) and Pavlina both missed by just a minute. Well done!

Likewise - congratulations. I got to see the live video of Brian and Nick and they both looked really fast - arguably more so because of my poor video stream.

It was an awesome race to watch and great to see US and Canada competing with the very best.

Way to go!

Håkan Eriksson has actually never really been away from the scene. He started to focus on the sprint a few years ago and he won the Swedish selection race last year but still didn´t make the team. This year the coach thought differently and...
In other words - it is never too late.
