I took a bearing off the path bend and ended up on the parallel spur to the right, correcting much like Peter.

I got confused---I meant at 8---The pig house. That's where my compass was acting funny.

On 11, I ran from the trail bend, down the left fork of the spur that curved around to the S, and could actually see the control across the way as I descended. So, the hard part was climbing back up the other side.
