Discussion: searching

Is there a way to limit searches to a specific area? Like just discussion threads, or just one user's log?

On the logs, in the lower right there is a 'Search Log' button.

Any way to limit search to discussion threads (not in logs)?

Try including "inurl:discussionthread" in your search query to the site-search box in the upper right, e.g:
[ monkey inurl:discussionthread ]

As you might guess, the "inurl" operator matches the page url, and the rest of the query matches the page contents.

One gotcha here is that for whatever reason some pages are not indexed by google, so you might miss something.
