Any predictions on max distance a team (open, coed, etc) will be able to cover at the WRC in Arizona in 1.5 weeks? Predictions on results? I'm taking a tow rope with me so Pam James can drag me around the desert for 22 hours after I bonk at the 2 hour mark.

Sergey:

Open: 120K
Veterans: 100K
Coed: 90K
Girls: 80K

If hot (sunny and average above 80F (25C)) take 90% of these numbers.

Okay, here's my last minute picks. There are going to be some pretty good races in each category.:

M Open: 1. Boranek & Seidl (1st overall, tough battle with Rowlands and Barbour)
2. Bone, Gusiatnikov, and Emerson
3. Platt, Poole, and Holmes

W Open: 1. Campbell and Knowles

Coed open: 1. James and Waddington (another tough battle)
2. Mankus, Leipinsh, and Leipina

M Vet: 1. Barbour & Rowlands (2nd overall, I'll probably pay for picking against the 2 time world champs)

Coed Vet: 1. The Brautigams
2. Sanderson and Collins

W Vet: 1. Chapman and Humiston

M Super: 1. Skrien and Hudson
2. Privett and Taylor

Coed Super: 1. Kennedy, Kennedy, Squires

W Super: 1. Crawford & Spriggs
