Does anyone know if they are still planning on posting a demo course online? We got old maps in the mail, but it would be nice to have actual controls to visit. Thanks.

If we're lucky, something will go up on the web site tomorrow morning when our start times are published.

My understanding from talking to Mark last week was that nobody had expressed any interest, so that you are on your own because he decided this was a luxury given the amount of effort the real championship events were taking. Park at the CCC camp and go out in the woods if you want, staying on the state land.

[Note: this is my paraphrase of my understanding, not an official announcement.]

Feet is correct. I just received an email from Mark saying that due to a lack of inquiries/interest, it was decided to focus efforts elsewhere.

Please clarify "CCC camp" and 'state land'. I have a Winona North map - is it on the road on southern side?

And directions to Winona North please (if that's where we're going)?

Thanks from a non-NE'er.

I don't have the map in front of me, but in case nobody better qualified sees this: yes, the CCC camp (which was the finish area in 2001 and 2002 iirc) is on the road that runs along the southern part of the map, here (access via County Rd 90 off US-11 in Mannsville, NY), and the boundaries of the state land are indicated on the Winona map by the olive straight dashed lines with tags (and in many places in the terrain by rockpiles at corners of the boundary and by blazes on trees elsewhere). The private land pockets usually have houses in them somewhere. (Mark didn't tell me to stay off the private land when I asked him ahead of a planned visit last week that never actually happened, but I just think it might be wise given there's plenty of good terrain on state property.)

Thanks Will; that makes sense and was my best guess.
