Discussion: dust storm on radar

We have had a cracker dust/ rain storm in wagga today. The 2 nd in as many weeks. i reckon the BOM should work out a way of showing dust stroms on the radar. A suggestion of different shades of brown would suffice i think. is there a suggestions box on the BOM web site?

Consider it a suggestion. That said, I don't think the radar is capable of telling the difference between dust particles, water droplets or other particulates - you occasionally see spurious radar signals from bushfire smoke, although I can't recall seeing one from a duststorm without rain.
