Sorry Blair it doesn't look like I'll be running in the morning- theres some training Susanne is organising in the afternoon which I currently plan to attend. And Sunday I'm going to Marne Rocks.

Mmm. Tiredness Blair. Let me guess. You stayed up to watch the hurdles and the 1500 like Josh and I. I was marking assessment tasks at the same time, but they were on very late.

Simon - thanks for the info. No doubt I'll find something. Any hints on good ways to get into the hills on a long run from the city centre?

Kazza - actually taped the last bit and watched it in the morning. This has the advantage that you can fast-forward the ads, meaningless interviews etc. (although any Sally McLellan interview is worth watching - obviously Athletics Australia hasn't got enough money to send its competitors to cliche-learning school like other sports do).

I had a similar discussion today re Sally's interview technique - hilarious to watch. Well maybe for the first few interviews!!

There aren't really any "good" ways to the hills from the city. Unless you want to go the windy way along the Torrens you pretty much have to do 8-10km of street running. Possibly one of the nicer versions is to waterfall gully and up to Mt Lofty that way (about 14km from Adelaide to the Summit I think).

What time were you thinking Blair? It might be worth catching a bus a bit closer to the hills - the 141 (for example) leaves at 7.15. But I wouldn't be surprised if you said you were planning to be back by then ...

Thanks for the input. I've run off copies of the street maps but might still give someone a ring to check what paths on the street directory are good for running in practice.
