| bbrooke: | On behalf of Donna Fluegel (Meet Director) and Mikell Platt (Course Setter), I'd like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped out last week at Laramie Daze and the US Championships. Now that I've compiled what I think is a comprehensive volunteer list, I'm amazed at how many people were involved. LROC essentially has just one member; we could not have pulled off this event without the assistance of all the volunteers who stepped up from other clubs around the country. Thank you again! You are all fantastically generous to spend your race weekend helping to run the meet.
-- Brooke Mann, Registrar & Webmaster Volunteer List General Doug compiled a detailed inventory of everything in RMOC's storage unit. He transported a truckload of gear to Laramie and hauled it around all week. He arrived early all seven days to help us set up and to distribute equipment to the Start / Finish / Registration as needed. He also stayed late each day to help pack everything up.
Troy hauled around a bunch of equipment all week, too. He arrived early and left late all seven days, since he was helping with set-up and tear-down.
If you referenced the handy spreadsheet listing of all of Laramie's hotel rates, thank Kathleen!
Laramie Daze Between the morning races and the afternoon training areas, Mikell set 23 different courses for these five days. Not to mention the additional 16 courses he set for Saturday and Sunday...!
Pizza Party US Championships Gary Thies was singled out for special recognition. Even though Gary wasn't on our original list of volunteers, he stepped up to help and it was reported that he worked longer at the Start than anyone else, doing 90% of the whistleblowing.
[*If anyone has specific volunteer names wherever there's a reference to "the Junior Team", please let me know. Also, let me know if I left anyone out. -- Brooke] Lost and Found Doug Berling has two fold-up chairs that were left near the finish area on Sunday -- one green and one blue, of the same type. Contact Doug Berling (drberling@earthlink.net). |

| Cristina: | Thanks to everyone who helped!
And now a request... Does anyone have a picture of the US Champs? Did the M/F-21s stay for the awards and long enough for some fotos? |

| bbrooke: | Also....it turns out I have ONE tech-tee left. (I thought it was for someone else, but he says he got his at the meet.)
It's a Large. The cost is $18 including shipping (US / Canada), PayPal preferred. Whoever speaks up first (in this thread) gets it. (This is a white, short-sleeved, tech-tee with the orange and brown Laramie Daze logo.) I'd say they run a tiny bit large, and they don't shrink. |
