Kiki: Less than 12 hours to the first starts in the sprint qualification races!

Keep up with the team at the blog, which will have several updates over the next day.

The WOC2008 Online Center (http://live.woc2008.cz/) will have commentary and results throughout the morning (for the qual) and the evening (for the final).

The women's race starts at 9:30 local time, which is 3:30am EDT and 12:30am PDT.

Good wishes and cheer posted as comments to the blog before 2:00am EDT will reach Team Members, no snark included.

Kiki: He said something about making the final and being on the big screen and not wanting to look scruffy.

Terry: Eric said, "I cut my own hair. I wanted to be prepared in case I make the finals, being on camera and everything, so I cut my hair."

Kiki: I'm pretty sure there was something in there at the end about not wanting to look scruffy... not that Eric really ever looks "scruffy", so it's all sort of silly.

eddie: Pics from today's Sprint Quali and Final, plus the opening ceremony - though mostly from the final. We had a ringside seat for the final so the shooting was good. 15 pages worth - 300 pics. Clem and Christina have some great shots...should be up soon.

BorisGr: Watching the men's final live on Swedish TV, we got to see a bunch of shots of the US Team + juniors spectating, plus a couple of close-ups of Eddie. Very cool!
