Why is a Cornishman supporting Norwich City? I know there are no Cornish teams in the English leagues, but you could at least pick a closer one - Plymouth Argyle or Exeter City for example.

Or Stade Brestois. I think they are closer as well. And you could play on the supposed common 'Celtic' heritage. Did we saw their home digs during the current broadcast of Le Tour.

It goes back to when I was living in England in 1989 and Norwich were making an improbable bid for the title against all the big boys (before falling apart in the last six weeks of the season) - they were also a Cup semi-finalist that year. I also suggested at the time that I could hardly not support a team that played in (more or less) Australian colours and was sponsored at the time by a certain well-known Australian beer.

I've never actually been to Norwich (I was going to in 1994 but was thwarted by a train strike); the only time I've seen them play was away in Southampton, a very subdued 0-0 draw (the subdued bit was probably something to do with it being the first game to take place in England after the Hillsborough disaster).
