If you were to win a sprint medal, then I would really have been impressed. Better luck in the long.

Looking at the M50 results, saw that Ted Van G was quick but had one bad control and Alex Davey was consistent but a bit off the pace, but what happened to paul pacque? he finished OK in his heat, but I couldn't find his name in the results of the final.

Well done Blair. Great result. Good luck for the long, although sounds like you may not need luck, just everything to go right on the day!!

Paul's father died in Belgium a few days ago - he ran the qualifier but missed the final to go to the funeral. Christine will miss the long qualifier for the same reason.

Top work Blair, always knew it was just a matter of time till you came good in the sprint.

Fantastic effort Blair. I'm expecting big things from you now in the long distance. You are as good a chance as any of the others to win. Good luck.

Have just been looking at the splits - turned out I gained 4 places in the old town section - I was 8th at control 13 (the last one in the dunes).

Reasons Blair did well:
1. SteetO training
2. Inspiring sledging from yours truly
3. Ignoring all comments made by ________
... and possibly (but not likely) ...
4. Ability and preparation
