Do you do any quilting (retreat?) or just hang out together/visit quilt shops? Either way, sounds like a great time to me.

I haven't done any real quilting since my quilt retreat last September. And now my quilting area is all cleaned up for the house hunters. :-( Our next house *will* have a dedicated quilting studio. :-)

Personally, I was so busy visiting with others (and shopping and sight-seeing places like White Sands) that I did no quilting, but others in the group who generally are more productive, or older and who didn't want to get out, got some stitching done. At least one woman (a library director in Zion IL) brought her Featherweight sewing machine along to use and she got quite a few black, white, and red star blocks completed. I took an applique block along (started at the last gathering?) but didn't work on it.

I tried another craft activity there, though -- faux stained glass -- which looks like a lot of fun.

I keep thinking about what I can do to take over the room that Greg has vacated... but that's as far as I've gotten -- thinking.
