I'm going to be staying in Queens from 7-10th June and keen to go training with anyone who know cool places to run (or kayak if you have one).

Ahh Queens - The enchanted borough :-) . GregB should be able to get you going in Forest Park. Better yet, get him to take you up to Harriman State Park so you can run on the WOC93 maps. Only about an hours drive away....
If you are keen on kayaking, let me know. I can give you details about a kayak center north of the City. A car would be handy for that one.
