I'm interested in getting people's opinions on the re-scheduling of the 2004 SVO "Michaux Memorial Day Weekend ROGAINE." Since Memorial day is all booked up now, we need to decide whether to move the event to a different date in spring 2004 or to just skip this year and immediately grab Memorial Day 2005. There are A-meets every weekend from late March through early June. April 10-11 is open, but its easter and more importantly its too early. The later in June the hotter it gets and the closer it gets to the CNYO ROGAINE. Also there are other ROGAINES in Ohio in mid-June. Our thinking is that going opposite the BAOC Fallen Leaf Lake rehash on June 5-6 might be ok, as most of the east coast ROGAINERs would probably not be going out west for that just one week after NAOC anyways. This would put us 1 month after the AZ rogaine, and just over a month before the CNYO rogaine, which is another month before the Laurentian - splitting the difference nicely. So...any opinions on this matter? Thanks.

It's rogaine (rogaines, rogainer, to rogaine).

Going opposite the BAOC meet sounds fine to me. Some people might go out west, but not so many that it would be a problem.

I believe that a case can be made for capitalization of ROGAINE, but not for additional letters (e.g. ROGAINEs, ROGAINEr). Boy, that last one looks weird. Maybe it should be "ROGAINE participant". But I won't claim to have the last word on what is "correct".

The Aussies suggest the following origen of the word: "The word ROGAINE was coined from: ROd GAIl and NEil, the three people in Australia reported to have developed the first ROGAINE." So perhaps it should be RoGaiNe.
