$275 a day. For that price they should call it Own The Moose.

Great to see that people are finding out about the event, it is going to be an amazing adventure for everyone involved.

On the subject of the price, we are actually one of the cheapest multi-day ultras on the global calendar. There are self-sufficient races out there that cost over $3000, without your flights.

Unlike a single day, single venue races, we have to provide support over 302km, along with moving a full race village seven times. There are also the transportation, catering, crew, hotels, and the gala dinner costs. We are organizing this as a hobby so we are not adding any mark up either.

Competitors are technically with us for 9 days, and at $177 a day we think that is not a bad rate for what you get?

If you are not interested in running then please come and join the crew for the week ... we will cover all you food and accommodation as well as give you a ticket and hotel for the gala dinner.

All the information is on the website ... www.runthemoose.com

Cheers, Richard : )

Ah, of course there is much more than meets the eye and I guess my comment is a tad flippant. Still, if I could actually own a piece of moose - I'd even take stock in a publicly traded moose - at the end that would be a way cool addition to what does look like a cool event.
