Discussion: WRE women?

in: Flying Pig XII;

Kiki: How is the Pig looking as far as ranked women who "count"? Will there be enough?

As of today, the only F21 who counts is Annabel. On the AP listing I see Kseniya as green and that's it.

Other Americans who should count are: Sandra, Sam, Pavlina, Viktoria, Hillary, Kat, Angelica, Erin, and Zan. I imagine the Pig is out of the question for a few of them, but what about the rest? Any Canadians going?

I'll make more cake.

hkleaf: From the latest updated Start List, it looks like Kseniya and Katarina Smith have both entered the Fri WRE. So this means one more is needed for the points to count, right?

Kseniya: Oh, I hope someone else will show up, I want some points!

mikeminium: Besides Katarina, it looks like R ranked Canadians include Pam James, Emily Kemp, Victoria Smith, Anita O' Brien, Sandy Hott. Can we persuade any of them?

Joe: why have the WRE on a friday?

#  Posted 2008-03-26 08:23:05
mikeminium: When we planned, it fit the format of doing middle distance on Friday, 2 Sprints on Saturday and a long race on Sunday. We were encouraged to bid for the WRE only after the weekend schedule and championships were already in place. We hoped that people who really wanted to do the WRE would be able to make it Friday, but I know that's a problem for some.

mikeminium: Updated registration list and Updated locator maps have been posted. We finally got the parking arrangements for Friday ironed out. There is a 2 km walk to the start on Friday, so be sure to allow plenty of time.
