That relay was fun to watch online, but frustrating when the GPS tracking kept freezing.

And OMG, I've just realised that they really did run straight through the middle of an aged-care home!

running through that building was the best part, there was AC for at least 2 seconds of the race

Was there a big screen in the arena and if so, did all of the girls' teams have to be quarantined away from it so you couldn't see where the boys were running first up?

I'm not sure there was a screen today but there were in other days. Every athlete had to be in quarantine before the beginning of any of the races for every day though.

Small screen - I only found it after everything was done. But we could hear the live announcers, so the athletes were all quarantined.

Bold choice for the Israeli first leg male runner to go the complete opposite way to the entire rest of the field on the way to #1 and beat them all to the C fork.

Hard to be certain because the tracking was freezing - and also the final men's leg GPS display didn't go live until a couple of minutes into their race - but only about 10% of runners who had C appeared to notice (or were brave enough to take) the right hand route.

Let's hope I don't do the same dumb thing in today's relay as I did in 2019.

The first leg was a tough read - previous maps showed a building behind walls without the vegetation detail or pass-thrus, so a very clever adaptation by the organizers. Check out the JWOC Facebook post for a pic of athletes running past the inhabitants of the facility - some great shots by the photography team.
