Discussion: RouteGadget for Fair Hill

I have put the Fair Hill events into DVOA RouteGadget. The original maps are quite large, and in order to keep the file size to a managable level for dial-up connections, the quality is not comparable to off-set printing. :) The original JPEG was 6+ MB! So, I suggest you have your map handy to help you see some of the finer detail especially for the Long-O. Post here, or email me, if you have any questions.

Excellent Val! I hope many post their routes. I'll add mine tonight, such as they were...

Valerie -- you rock! I also noticed that the Boulder Dash is there.

I only did the Green course for the Boulder Dash - practicing how to post an event which didn't use SI... BD Green runners are more than welcome to post their route - if you remember it after all this time. You need to put the "splits" in as cumulative time - not split time. And the last two boxes are the same - the last "split" and the final time.

Will the distractions never end?!

How am I supposed to get any work done with all this "split analysis" and "route gadgeting" going on?

Seriously, thanks Valerie, I love the distractions. ;-)

Yes, I know, I need to get back to work mysef...not an appealing prospect.

Sorry but I'd rather forget the DB!

Very cool. Just watched a replay. Indeed, my brain failed before my body did when I wimped out of what I had originally decided was a better, straighter route to 15, which is pretty clearly shown to be faster by route-gadget.

Move over sleep--Route Gadget is my new nocturnal passtime! I just put my route in, and watched several races with different combinations of runners. Of course, the brain needs some REM (rapid eye movement) time each night, so I cranked up the speed on a couple of the races.

The Blue race between Grant, Alexei, Vladimir, and David would be interesting if those guys were to put their routes in.

DVOA has RouteGadget up and running now. So, please visit the Fair Hill events at the new URL.

That's great! I'm sure RouteGadget Index will list DVOA's new installation shortly.

BTW, looks like, after Finland, US has the most registered RouteGadget installations listed on the Index.
