Terry: You must tell us about your amazing green drink that will allow me to lose 10 pounds effortlessly.

JohnL: Well, it's not really amazing - but it is green - and raw. I have some pictures here:

You get lots of greens by eating this stuff and it has a way of alleviating hunger for a while. Eat more of this and less of other things (you know what) - and exercise of course - and you will lose extra weight "effortlessly".

Terry: Love it.

Once in 1992 I had a shot of wheatgrass juice at the Gravity Bar on Broadway (does that place still exist?) on an empty stomach and I felt like puking for over an hour. That's what I think of when I think of drinking something green and raw, so it's kinda scary.

Where did you get the idea for this?

JohnL: The deli at Harbin Hot Springs near Middletown, CA makes 'Green Goddess Raw Soup' and they list the ingredients on the cup label. I liked it when I tried it and wanted to make my own. This is what I've come up with so far. They used more ingredients, mainly herbs, spices, and a probiotic supplement. My version is much simpler.

The Gravity Bar is long gone by the way. Too bad.

Terry: I just now read your ingredient list carefully and noticed the avocado. No wonder it tastes yummy! It does sound like it would be good with a fresh, dense whole grain bread and some cheese.
