Hello from Finland and city of This year Jukola -Relay Tampere.
Some years ago there was very active discussion pages in the official Jukola WWW-pages. I am sure that all orienteering -lovers would be very active users of that also today. So I made Jukola and orienteering -forum in the www-adress http://jukola.ning.com/. This orienteering forum is based on social media systems called Ning, which has already thousands of similar web-societies. Using Jukola -forum is free and if you like you can start there also your own sub-groups for example you team or interest group. Idea of Jukola ning is to be WWW-forum for people coming to Jukola or just loving orienteering. Its for professionals but also for those many "not so professional teams" in Jukola, which only goal is find their way out from forest.
So type in your web browser address: http://jukola.ning.com/ and try. Thats how you will find the best way to us it for your purpose. Here is some ideas how to do things there:
- In My Page -folder you will find Add Blog Post tool. Using it you can write your own story or send messages or announcement for all Jukola -ning users. That message goes also to the main Page Blog Posts -part. For Example this help text has been made that way
- Forum -folder is for discussions. There is already some ready made topics and discussiong thread. You can answear to those or start your own discussion thread about your happening, team or topic you are interested. Please be active.
- If your team, happening, local activists, topic you are interested or maybe products needs own sub-part, you can make under Group -folder. All the groups have own members and discussion boards
- Using Photos ja Videos - folder you can send your photos and videos to others.
- In the right top corner there is My settings -link. From there you can change your personal information and also change settings of email notifications.
- and don't forget Invite -folder and possibilities to invite your friends to this forum
