Long time since I visited.
I’m wanting to use the Go! start clock for an upcoming event as it’s simple and suitable.
The issue is when I Bluetooth connect to my portable speaker some of the beeps go missing. It varies from device with some doing most beeps and others just a half hearted last beep.
None play the (30s) warning beeps.
Any ideas. It has worked for me in the past but with a different speaker. I don’t understand why the BT output would vary for different beeps.
Thanks.
I am assuming your speaker (or tablet!) has some kind of power-saving feature that switches off the amplifier (or bluetooth-transmission?) during periods of silence. This would require a "pre-beep" to "wake up" the speaker (or BT-transmitter). I'm not familiar with the Go! app, possibly the "beep sequence" or number of countdown beeps can be configured and this would solve the problem?
In fact I use a good old cable connection (3.5mm jack) between my start clock tablet and speaker because I noticed a significant lag in the beep - the beeps were effectively coming in between second-changes. Possibly a cable connection would also solve your issue?
