Congratulations! Looks like a really good run, hope you're satisfied with it. 19th of 1008 in your age group - top 2% !! Really consistent splits too.
Bodes well for some good runs at the Scottish 6-day. Hope you get to go.

Thanks, Fred. It was good. Previous PR was 48:24 and I was training for 47:00, so 46:03 was a pleasant surprise. The cool weather helped a lot and so did the relatively sparse field.

You weren't tempted to run it this year? I assume that's your Pam that ran it in 57:00? A good run, too!

Sorry to say, we just cancelled for the 6-Day. We were still looking at having to quarantine for 10 days upon arrival. At the same time, it was looking like Scotland was not going to drop to Level 0, so they have a contingency whereby there are only 1000 runners each day (instead of 2000) and everyone would only get 3 days to run. Just not as attractive a proposition. We waited till the last possible day to decide. C'est la vie.

Sorry to hear you aren't going to the Scottish 6-day. A big disappointment I'm sure. But certainly understandable given the situation. Perhaps you can join us (Bill Cheatum and Dennis Cryor) at Tahoe in August instead.

Pounding my legs on the concrete just hurts too much anymore. And in regular years the Peachtree is such an exercise in crowd control it lost all appeal to me a long time ago. But Pam still likes it. She was quite pleased with the 57 min time. And y'all did get real lucky with the weather this year, under 70 at the start is quit a blessing.

I've run on the trails at Vickery Creek 2 or 3 times lately. The shade there makes it's feel surprisingly much cooler. The woods does not look inviting though.
