by watching the game on TV as there was a live broadcast - agree it was a good game with good goals and pleasing to see Melbourne City break their non-loss running streak of 18 games I think the commentator say.
So long as you didn't have anyone around to watch the game. Apparently it's better to have 19,000 at the SCG watching the cricket later this week (though that's now also been halved) than to have those same people crowding around televisions at home. I'm guessing the other hundred thousand or so who can't be at the match will refrain from watching on tv for fear of spreading Covid.
One of the disadvantages of the crowd was I was sitting a few metres downwind of a guy with heavy odorant on. It stank.
It will be relatively easy to get a lot of people to refrain from watching on TV if the Aussies play like they did in Melbourne!
I must have missed all the outbreaks associated with NRL games being played with crowds in Sydney in August and September when case numbers were similar to or higher than those now.
