Did you put it on the map?
I did not. Maybe if it were a 29-er.
I recently (a couple of months ago) found a bike in the woods across from my house, several meters from a trail. I'd run by there many times, but only when I did it at night did I spot the reflectors. Very rusty, not going anywhere.
Can you name the map "Bike in a Tree"?
Sounds like the best choice to me.
Maybe if you bury a tire in the ground a 29'er will sprout.
If there isn't another bike nearby to fertilize the tire then you probably won't get anything.
Ok, buy the tire. Rub it up against a bunch of bikes in the shop. Vigorously. Then bury it.
Not entirely sure that will do. Growing all alone without active friends or role models may make it become a fat bike.
Sure it wasn't a field checker who left the bike out? I rode my bike to the Rockhaven area (at the top of the dam road) and locked it to a tree just off the trail while I did my first field checking effort.
