Hardly overweight, but the loss of 2" could be more significant--possible sign of osteoporosis. Might be good to get a bone density scan just in case.

I think my dad lost about 4 inches, maxed out 5'8" or so, ended up 5'4" or so. His brother likewise. I may be a bit dismayed, but not surprised.

Your Mom didn't loose height. Too bad you didn't get those genes. I'm loosing height right along with you :-( I bet nobody likes it, but somehow feels worse when we're already short.

The thing about airplane seats is, you don't get much more legroom. The change is mostly in your spine.
