Your keep mentioning places in your log that are meaningful to me! This particular spot has no major special significance, but I just found it such a lovely peaceful spot (with the notable exception of the highway noise from the immediately adjacent Everett Turnpike / I-93) on a number of occasions over the years.
I've been there for picnicking and running around the fields when my kids were young; for lunch/nap stops during my package delivery career; and for the splendor of the apple trees in full bloom, which wasn't planned, I just happened to stop by one year the first week in May (I think it was).
That was the second time we visited there since spring. This time we got out (dog walk etc), read the kiosk information, pondered the homestead foundation stones from c.1830 and enjoyed the large field, once part of a 200 acre farm from nearly 200 years ago. MBE would shudder and shrivel should she hear the nearby IS 93 noise of 2020, particularly on a summer day (motorcycles). Didn't see apple trees. Maybe they died and were cut?
