might lead to such a result but it would, of course, achieve nothing, as the borders to the other states would still exist, with the same issues currently experienced! It would achieve one positive: AFL would become an international sport:-)

This same thing could quickly happen in any other state. WA could be first to go if Clive bankrupts us.

Many Victorians are so sick of the othering that a vote to leave the Federation might have a better chance than a vote to expel us. In my current mood I could seriously consider voting yes. No more gas, ore and coal revenue, but also no more horizontal fiscal equalisation. Unsure how that would work out economically. The one clear economic outcome of any break up of the Federation is that the ACT, Tasmania and South Australia are screwed. But they can keep their border controls.

One Station, their policy is to stop the trains (from Melbourne to Sydney).

I think that is one aspect of their One Notion. Swamped by Asians became Swamped by Muslims and is now Swamped by Victorians. You could hardly say they are Swamped by Ideas.

Sandgropers love Victoria. It's Queensland and Clive Palmer (not to mention Pauline, George and Bob) we'd like to expel.

I like Queensland. Well actually their MTBO maps have lots of lantana on them and their rainforests are awful to trek through and they talk real slow there but otherwise it's okay.

I'd quite like to get back over to South Oz for a Rogaine in May.
Can't see Jacinda allowing us back home from Aus until the end of next year at the earliest.

Hey HC - what happened to travel bubble? Recent troubles put it back that far?

Something about Auckland being a shit hole us wanting to cut it off. Or maybe it was Victoria..........

Didn't Australia reject that idea too? I know WA doesn't want to be a bubble with anywhere except itself.

I think we all should be planning for the next Australian championship carnival in 2022. Plenty of time now for making some of those granite maps compliant.

@blairtrewin Don't take comment threads as a representative example, I don't think I've talked to anyone who has bagged out Victoria apart from for easy laughs, Victoria was just unlucky and everyone watches your numbers hoping it gets under control.

Meanwhile in NSW ONSW seems to be ignoring the current guidance from the CHO, so it could be the sports turn to get some media coverage.
