Nobody said you had to use the entire 5km radius. Why not do a 2km radius? Scaling suggests that would reduce the distance to 16% of the amount for a 5km radius. That should be doable.

Noticed a bucket load of new tracks in some local forest. Running all the tracks in the forest block might actually be useful.

2km is definitely in my thoughts. Have already done a lot of the eastern half through covering Fairfield/Alphington; the southern part of the circle is mostly parkland but just gets into the bottom bit of Willsmere.
