Sounds pretty hardcore in lots of ways. Well done for toughing it out!
Congrats to Inara for the Victory!!! You guys, too.
Blue! Good time too! We don’t get those very often in N.C...
Yeah, there were a few people at the event asking what a blue course was.
One last? Because summer, or because DC is now preferable to NC, virus-wise?
BTW, I notice you are at 7998 training log entries as of 6/23 evening...
>>I hope to be back at Gray Owl Road for a national event at some point in the future.
It is definitely a Championship-level terrain
BOK re-inventing having a technical segment, within a long or classic course, on a separate large-scale map, IMO deserves recognition. This should be done more often by USOF clubs when the terrain is suitable. It was both challenging and enjoyable (even in a near-heat-exhaustion condition)
feet>> One last because we have decided to expand our bubble and head to Montana for the rest of the summer. There are very few cases there, low population, and help with childcare. We are taking next week off to drive out and camp along the way.
yurets>> I agree! The change of pace and change of scale in the middle of the course has been a really pleasant aspect of these Gray Owl events.
Something to look into once you get there:
