IN the same vein... Russell was undergoing a mandatory workplace medical and it got to the eyesight test section. Chart appeared, letters rattled off, and assessor said.. "oh that's all pretty fine there but you'll find your eyesight will most likely deteriorate by the time you turn 40". Russell replied, " gee that's a worry. It's my 40th tomorrow"

I was recently somewhat bemused by receiving a letter from the Australian Government offering me "Your free '45 year' life check - finance, work, health, staying socially connected".

Guess I am now officially middle aged :(
