The California Orienteering Festival Steering Committee is excited and pleased to invite the world of Orienteers and Rogainers to visit California in 2021. The 2021 Program is almost unchanged:
Stage 1: Monday Aug 2. Urban Park Sprint at The Presidio, San Francisco.
Stage 2: Tuesday Aug 3. Redwood Forest Long at Big Basin Redwoods State Park.
Stage 3: Wednesday Aug 4. Urban Park Middle at Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.
Rest/Travel Day: Thursday Aug 5. NAOC Model Event.
Stage 4: Friday Aug 6. NAOC Sprint at Northstar, Lake Tahoe, California.
Stage 5: Saturday Aug 7. NAOC Middle at Little Truckee Summit, Truckee, California.
Stage 6: Sunday Aug 8. NAOC Long at Independence Creek, Truckee, California.
Stage 7: Monday Aug 9. NAOC Relay at Northstar, Lake Tahoe, California.
Rest Day: Tuesday Aug 10. Recreational activities.
Stage 8: Wednesday Aug 11. Alpine forest Middle at Spooner Lake, Nevada.
Stage 9: Thursday Aug 12. Alpine forest Long at Sagehen, Truckee, California.
Rest Day: Friday Aug 13. WRC Model Event.
Stage 10: Saturday Aug 14-15. World Rogaining Championships at Northstar, California.
Current registrations are automatically transferred to 2021; you do not have to do anything, your fees will not increase, and you are guaranteed entry! We encourage you to leave your registration in place. However, for those interested in alternatives, please visit our website registration page for details, or contact the registrar.

Thank you for the tremendous work on this. I will be amending my entry to add the early part of the O Festival. (I'll also change my age class- YAY!)

Great, thanks! Looking forward to it. The timing is perhaps a bit more complicated for us with school sports starting mid-August, but we'll make it work!

Interesting. This will probably pull us from the UK out. It’s the same exact week as the Scottish 6-days. So not “the same time next year”. it also gives us only a day to travel then back to Scotland if we did go to make it to the Euromeeting in prep for WOC 2022. This is going to be a hard decision.
Edit: IOF just announced the cancellation of woc 2020 so who knows Really still the competition calendar. Might make plans easier or might put a different euro meeting at the same time. Feeling like right choice by IOF though. We can’t just have two years worth of events in 2021. Good luck to everyone working out scheduling it sure isn’t fun!
