So for those of you stuck at home that haven't tried it I recommend you look into Virtual O the game on steam. Its the best thing I've seen for virtual orienteering. For those of you who don't have a dedicated gaming machine this thing needs lots of computing power to run but have no fear. I signed up for a virtual gaming rig using something called shadow. A month is costing me $9 to try with coupon. It took a week or so to set up my shadow machine but now I'm running this graphics intense game with ease on my crappy 2009 IMAC (not even a windows machine). Check it out if you are curious.

Virtual O is very nice, but please disregard this obvious shill.
I have been using it on and off since the first beta (2-3 years ago), always on my laptop which is fast enough without any dedicated gaming hw.

Has there been any progress on adding extra maps to Vitual O?
The lack of maps seems to be the main drawback. For me catching features is far superior because it offers the ability for anyone to convert orienteering maps and upload competitions. This means there are new maps daily and a huge variety of terrain to (virtually) run on.
