You can ski any time at Weston with a season pass as long as you're not on their snowmaking equipment. Lots of other folks out.

Oh. I didn't know that. Maybe I can still take advantage of it this year. I bought a season pass and have hardly used it, partially because a 1km loop is not appealing but also a lot because evenings are no good and 10am was kind of late.

Oh, yeah. You can ski any time, really.

The loop is pretty awful, since they have had to blow out snow just to keep it intact rather than extending it up and over Mount Weston. Partially because their new pump, while more reliable, is low capacity. They are spec'ing a new new pump which would have much more capacity, and allow them to blow much more snow when it's colder.

The +9 anomaly in Jan and +6 so far in Feb have not helped, either. January was the third warmest on record, and the warmest since Weston has started making snow (the other warmest: 1913, 32, 33, 37; the 30s must have been tough sledding). Worse than 2002. 06 and 17. 2017 was bizarre: March was the coldest month of the winter, and the warmest day in March was March 1. Weather is happening?
