Good choice. And, I'm glad that you could pinpoint that you were missing team sports - this is a great one for that!

My wife captained the ultimate team in college, and I have a lot of friends who played in college (or since). It's a good choice!

For the record, I think you'd be great at rugby. After a semester in Australia, I came back and started a pickup rugby league in my dorm. And a year later, I tried out for the club lacrosse team with zero prior experience (the team posted flyers everywhere about it and it said that no experience was necessary). Based on my very limited experience, I think lacrosse is more prone to injury than rugby. It has hard helmets, hard balls, and hard sticks.

I’m excited about it!

My roommate’s boyfriend plays on the men’s club lacrosse team here, and when I talked with him about it, he said that men’s and women’s lacrosse are actually very different. Women’s lacrosse is supposedly a lot less physical than men’s. Maybe with the different rules, rugby causes more injuries than lacrosse for women? But then again, maybe I just have an incorrect mental image of rugby; I’ve never done any real research into it, and I do know a decent number of people who play or have played and love it!
