Does anyone have experience with these. I am hoping that I got a counterfeit, as I can get the needle to shift 180 degrees by tilting it. And this is supposed to be the stable model.

I just figured out that when I first checked it out I was sitting in my car and the compass was over my right wrist. Under my shirt is my watch! The needle was reacting to my watch. LOL I can move it 360 degrees with my watch!

I think you underestimate the severity of your predicament. Putin is now spying on you 24/7. The needle is acting as a tiny antenna sending data straight to Kremlin

The capsule of compass may be balanced for other magnetic zone.
If you rogaining runner than travel a lot from one zone to another

Looks like the Russians meddle in the magnetic field.

Quote The latest report from NOAA, the “World Magnetic Model” for 2020, shows the pole rapidly speeding in the direction of Siberia

Ever since the Moscow compass has been in use the north magnetic dip pole has been moving away from Canada towards Russia. Coincidence? ;-)

Russian state-sponsored dip-poling perhaps?!
