Yeah I guess my question to this answer “it’s the birth place of the host of jeopardy and the 1989 Canadian O Champs host city” should have been “What is Sudbury?”

Fun nerdy fact. Trebek used to host a CBC high school trivia competition called Reach for the Top. My high school reached the Canadian semi finals losing on marsupial (I’m not bitter) back in early 80’s. In an early season match my school Westdale played our cross time rival Westmount. We won. About 10 years later while playing trivial pursuit (and being married for a year) my wife Starr and I put two and two together and realized that we played each other that game (she was on the westmount team).
So technically that is how we first met.

Also fun fact. One of my high school Reach for the top teammates started, finished and won a game of trivial pursuit on only one turn. Some players didn’t even roll. Nerds unite!
