I'm assuming it's probably just the local legal term for a non-profit organisation, plus whatever they need to do to receive donations. (In Australia, sporting organisations generally can't register as charities themselves, but can receive tax-deductible donations via the Australian Sports Foundation).

Do they have any way of documenting all the goodwill hours donated by volunteers?
